It has been rainy in West Des Moines all day. Just rainy but very little rain. I thought of something in the middle of the night last night and I would like you to check to see if I am correct. I will make an example ... Let's say Joe down the street logs on at 10:00 in the morning and reviews new bulletins and the new newsletter. Then after lunch you update some bulletins (about 1:00 pm). Now Joe logs back on at 7:00 in the evening. If I am correct, Joe will not be shown the newly updated bulletins. I think (THINK) Joe won't be shown the updated bulletins until the next day. Can you give that a try and let me know if my assumption is correct. If it is, then I will send you another copy of SPITFIRE and you can check to see if I have that goofy little glitch corrected. I won't be offended if you aren't up to it. I look forward to hearing from you. How that's interrupted may be an imbedded in the OS. I did find a program called Attribute Changer (see screen shot 2 below) for Windows 10 so I can change the date created, modified, or accessed but even though the tool shows 04/06/2021 when I apply changes the OS will still show 4/6/2021. I'll keep poking around to see if i can find another way OR i could stand up a test system and just change the true date to 10/10/2021 to see if that changes anything. Also, this is interesting. When i go to the command prompt and list the file in question the command prompt will show the date with the added 0 (zero). i.e. 03/30/2021. So maybe windows windows file mananger not showing the zero is just a GUI thing. SF is working great. Quick update after some testing. It seems to be bullet1 and bullet2 that will say an update has been made even when one has not. And the rest of the bulletins will not say an update has been made even when one has. I disabled my sflogon.bat to test and SF still though that bullet2 was updated. and then made a change to #4 but SF didn't see it. Below is a screenshot of the text in question. Bulletin #2 will almost always be updated because i have the "last 15 caller" program running in the sflogon.bat file. Bulletin #1 is pointing to bullet1.bbs that I use for updates. If I remember correctly the newsletter option was doing the same thing, so I moved my newsletter communications to the bulletin option, but the strangeness followed me :) Really it's not that urgent of an issue Mike as SF is running amazingly on a 32bit version of win10 OS and using a virtual modem for telnet connections :) I'm pretty sure I'm one of 3 SF BBS's online this way, but i must admit i do miss the modem sound.
